OK, here's the update. I moved into a wonderful apartment. I love it here, it's so calm and green. I've been cleaning like a madwoman, as I absolutely hate other people's dirt. I got laid off on Tuesday. I found a new job yesterday, one I can walk to from my wonderful new apartment. I live in the best area of this city. Everything is so close. Malls, bars, work. Yes, in THAT order. My girl loves it here. So many birds, a library, a community center, parks. All the necessary amenities. I have everything I need except a couch set, which will come in time.
I'm doing great. A little tight financially, but even that feels good when it comes with the package. This is such a phenomenal change for me. Like you would not believe. And even though I was thrust into it unwittingly, it has turned out better than I could have imagined. |

If you have been affected by the surreal events in New York or Washington, my thoughts are with you. What else can you say but may God help us all. My 5 year old girl summed it up with, "anyone who would fly a plane into a building has no sense at all". Maybe a bit elemenary, but accurate in the sense that we are now dealing with a group that has no sense of anything. Not the least of which being a regard for innocent human life. Scary. |

I'm on my way back. Slowly, but surely... |

I will be off line for a month or so. I may check my email once in a while, but only my yahoo account. |

2 things today:
- I'm moving
- I'm turning 25
The sigificance of each, you ask?
- I will be totally and unabashedly independant and alone. Independant, I like. Alone, I'm not used to. I've always had 'someone'. Never really seeked anyone out, I just tend to like the closeness of a relationship above the intermittentness of a casual romance. I tend towards closeness in all aspects of all relationships in my life. I have only a few friends, and they are very close friends. I jump head first into anything which seems to have potetial. I am also quick to move away when I realize it doesn't. I have no intentions of jumping anymore, though. So this will be an adjustment. I think I'm in a stage where casual relationships are looking good to me. Maybe not a stage, but a situation, whatever.
- I'm going to get a tattoo. (Well, it's significant to ME.) And it epitomizes my geekness. Wanna see it? Yes. It's a clipart from Word 95. Way back in the day of Word 95, I saw the picture and I decided that when I turned 25 I would have this tattooed just above my right butt cheek. A promise is a promise, no?

If it had been three wise women instead of three wise men...
they would have asked directions,
arrived on time,
helped deliver the baby,
cleaned the stable,
made a casserole, and
brought practical gifts.
Thanks veronica. It's funny because it's true. |

I wonder what would happen if for one week no one could tell a lie, not even a little one. If we could only verbally express how we REALLY FELT about each and every little thing.
If I told you that I hated your hair. If you told me I was a horrible mother. If I told you that your kid was a brat. If you told me that I don't know how to maintain a relationship. If I told you that you were a slut. If you told me that I'm selfish. If I told you that that man you have is fucking your sister. If the government said, "We really don't care what happens to children / women / old people / the disabled / the poor, we only care that we're getting paid to do something that is not even necessary". If the police man said, "I think she was asking for it". If your husband said to you, "Yes, you are fat, and yes, I find a lot of other women so much more attractive, and when I get myself off, I'm far from thinking of you". If your wife said, "You know hun, size really does matter, and you do fall short". What if your child said, "I wish I had jackie's parents instead of you two". What if your mechanic said, "There is nothing wrong with your car, I just need to make a living". If the pop industry said, "Pop really will make you fat". If the music industry said, "You have no chance for sex with one of the Backstreet Boys". And if you said to yourself, "I don't like the person I've become".
I wonder. |

I am not alone...
There is another blitch. Go figure. He sent me a nice email (which I will reply to hun, I promise), with lots of compliments. And a picture (quite a looker you are, but I could have done without the particular gesture in the top right corner of the collage). |
