So What?
So I'm sitting here staring at a piece of paper with my name on it, a piece of paper that cost me literally thousands of dollars to attain. A piece of paper for which I am now in 17 thousand dollars in debt. Has it helped me at all? I'm not sure: I don't have a great job. I graduated with a degree in political science and I don't know squat-didily. All I know is that politics involves a lot of bullshit. (Pardon my language, folks). So here I am sitting, staring at the aforementioned piece of paper, and I'm wondering if it was all worth it.
I say "HELL YES"! I am glad I got a chance to go to college. My college years were some of my best years. Some of my most painful memories occured during my time in college, and these memories have helped me become a stronger person. College opened up doors for me, and opened up my eyes to a whole new world, (no, many different worlds!) making me see perspectives that I would never had seen had I not been in college.
Yes, folks, money wise, the piece paper may not have really helped me (so far) but in the long run, I did get my money's worth. In that sense, I am content with what I have received.
