BCI Locker Room
Thursday, January 11
By Megan Latimer
Christmas has come and gone and it's back to the ice and gym for B.C.I athletes. It is a very busy month for athletics as the varsity girls basketball team hold their annual tournament this weekend, the Broncos hockey team is off to a tough tourney in Russell and the wrestling team participates in the Souris tourney.
Speaking of the hockey team brings us to this weeks athlete of the week. Ryan Canada is an assistant captain of the hockey team. He was recently awarded with the MHSAA rural athlete of the week award for the hard work and accomplishments with the team. Ryan is very involved with hockey as he also referees minor hockey games. In addition to hockey Ryan plays badminton and golf. Ryan is one of the most dedicated athletes in our school and gives it his best in every game.
The girls basketball team plays the first game of their tournament at 6:30 on Friday V.S Carberry. Come out and support your high-school teams.
