goodness, i'm such a retard. i published the same thing three freaking times yesterday, because i thought that this blogger was messed up. guess not.

it's monday, i'm at work. got home last night, and felt like pure junk. i went out though, cause i was thinking some people would be out, which there were, just not the ones i was looking for.

ran into brooklen, she's a sweetheart. chatted with her for a bit, and went back home. completely slept hard too.

this morning, i bleached some sections of my black hair, and made them vampire red. i like breaking up the monotony. maybe tomorrow i'll wear a wig to work. hah. it'd flip em all out.

one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you....

okay, emailed sal. cross your fingers that he'll get to come out next month.

also, didn't get a chance to write corey. i'm a shitty friend.

gotta catch up on so so so much work today. ugh. mondays suck around here.

just got an offer from one of the vp's of the company to dog-sit during christmas for him. sorry, no. i'll be in michgan getting snowed on.

i'm in the market for a vehicle. so if you're in the metro area, and know of anybody selling either a jetta or a miata, let me know.

wow. strange weekend. i haven't updated since i think thursday evening.... i got out of work at 5 on thursday, since i came in at 9 or so. when i left work, i met up with jim, and we did indeed go to ground kontrol. had an interesting conversation too, about his "platonic" relationshiip with his roomate. hah. whatever. it's none of my business. however, it makes me laugh when people make excuses like that, because they're afraid of what 'could' happen. blah blah blah.

that night, after i walked home, (about 8pm), Melanie called and was bored. she was also sick though. so, i invited her over to watch a flick. we walked to freddies, got a movie ('but i'm a cheerleader!), and hung out. well, this next part is pretty alarming. i probably shouldn't share it, but what the hell. i lived through it, so why not. remember a few entries ago, when i just moved into my new place, and said something about how a stripper used to live in the apartment i live in now? how it pretty much smelled like a stripper? well, my guess is, she isn't only a stripper, but also a hooker.

it was about 12:00, melanie was passed out on my couch, in a ny-quil trance, because she was sick, and i was in my room, sleeping sort of. i heard some pounding, kind of like knocking, but figured it was the building manager (who lives right downstairs from me) building something, or pounding a nail into the wall for some reason. bout a half hour later, more knocking, but this time, pounding. all of a sudden, i hear "police! open up!" and i'm thinking, "what the hell is this about?". i'm all bleary-eyed in my jammies, and i hear melanie say, 'cari... you should get that...'. so, i opened my door, looked out the front door, and there were 3 uniformed officers standing outside the doorway. whoa. okay. creepy. i open the door, and the first cop asked me if i knew a matthew. well yeah, i know a lot of matthews, including the building manager, who was on the stairway. so i asked for a specific last name. yeah, maybe i know. well, he rattled off some guy's last name that i'd never heard in my life, and i said i didn't know him. well, apparently, the first round of knocking, was this drunk guy, on the front steps, reaching over to my living room window and pounding on it. turns out he was looking for the stripperbitch who used to live there and was looking for a piece of ass. the scary part is,my window was opened a crack, and the blinds were open a little bit too, to get some air in my apartment. well, as this yahoo was knocking on the window, the building manager (matt) came outside, he was on his way out for a drink, and saw this mofo pounding on my window, and asked him what he was doing. drunken bastard gave him a bunch of guff, and tried to wrestle matt. well matt wasn't having that, so he punched the guy a few times, and called the police. all while i was sleeping. so, the portland police said, 'well, what he did is an offence in this town, and we're gonna take him in'. so, they took him downtown, printed him, booked him and probably let him go. great. i couldnt' get back to sleep for several hours because i was too paranoid that this jerk was gonna come back. which he didn't.

so....

on to friday... which i don't believe was all that memorable. went and met the ladies for happy hour and $2 dinner. after that, home. relaxed. went over to drew's house for a bit, played with the dogs, and he let me borrow his car. how sweet is that?!

saturday.... saturday was a blast. started out the day by waking up around 11, getting ready, went and picked up melanie and tiffany, and we shopped around most of the day. went to the hello kitty picture booth at the beaver-tron mall and had our pics taken. they turned out cute. except, we all have black hair now (until tonight that is.... ), and it looks like one big misshapen blob of black hair with our faces.

last night, kathleen and stephanie were hostesses for a party, celebrating stephanie's birthday. i had a great time. the thing i enjoyed the most was the dancing. let me tell you, it's all about the dance party. i love going to parties where people are dancing, especially if it's a good dj. last night, the guys who were spinning gave us some joan jett, some dj shadow, b-boys, and 80's dance hits. good 80's dance hits, like push it. had some drinks, did a lot of mingling, and enjoyed myself. lots of pictures. i'm going to see if melanie can scan some of the i-zone pics that i took.

sunday... today, i woke up feeling terribly congested. i think i'm getting what melanie had earlier in the week, which is not a good thing at all, since i value my sense of smell. cheryl, melanie, tiffany, jenny, marty and i went out for our traditional sunday brunch over at katie o'briens. it wasn't nearly as good, or as cheap as the matador or sandy hut is, but it was alright. right now, i'm damn near dozing off at my desk from exhaustion. tonight, melanie just called, and wants to go out. i think i'm going to go home, bleach a big starburst on the top of my hair, and then color it vampire red. break up the black-hair monotony a little bit.

note to self: get letter out to corey tomorrow. i'm slacking.

okay, over and out.

oh.. and one more tidbit before i hit the road....

sal's back from chicago! and he's gonna find out asap if he can come to portland! yay! and he sent me a bad-ass at the drive-in flyer! sah-weeeet!

so, i'm all excited. he's never been out here, and the ladies and i are gonna show him a bad-ass time. especially if he comes the 2nd week of november, when at the drive-in/murder city devils are playing, AND elliott smith is playing AND death cab for cutie is playing. all in the same week.

wouldn't you wanna travel to portland for an action-packed-rock-n-roll week like that?

yeah. me too...

good morning to all of my favorite people... it's 10:39am. i'm here waaaaay early, actually since 9, which is not typically my style. a guy i work with had to take his wife to the hospital this morning, so i came in to cover for him. i get out early today though, so it means i'll be able to fully enjoy my days off, and get them started off sooner than i'd thought.

went to pumpkin carving last night at kathleen's house. it was a blast! women with big knives. there were about 8 of us, and all shapes and sizes of pumpkins. the coolest one was stephanie's, who used a pattern to make a dracula looking guy, and melanie's, who was spanky the ass-pumpkin. i got all frustrated with mine, so i ended up carving it into a television. has rabbit ears, knobs and everything. pretty cute i guess. baked pumpkin seeds which were yummy, and had all sorts of treats. i had a good time.

are you digging the new format?
------------------------------------------------------------------------

i am so way sick of this website.

oh my gosh, i'm so way overworked today. i've been non-stop since i walked in the door. ugh.

tonight after i leave this pit, i'm going to go to ground kontrol with jim. maybe some pinball will get this aggression outta my system.

this is where i choke.

i need to know what you think of this new format. i'm not too sure if i'm sold on it or not yet. it might get a little tricky to read, but at the same time, you won't have to click on all of the different dates.....

i keep thinking of things to write. i need to not get all excited about posting something new....

more in a bit.

thinking of stuff to add for today.

i got a really nice letter from my friend corey. he said that i have priority for this letter (FIFO is his motto, first in, first out), since i sent him a whole big book of a ton of my journal entries. he said it was entertaining, and corrected my spelling. gawd. i thought my spelling was alright, guess i need to run spell check.

i was almost the victim of a max-ident this morning (the train is called the MAX). i was walking down the street, minding my own business, crossing where I'm supposed to (i got the little light up walker person), so i'm walking. brakes screech. the max safety van almost ran me down.

nice.

last night, went to shanghai tunnel. saw greg, which was totally unexpected. went over there with alyssa, who's in a vespa-mood as well, and had never been to any of the meetings. we had fun. i got tipsy. marty showed up. it was interesting to say the least. i had a great time though.

according to corey, he's going to set me straight. i have no idea what that means, but i'm sure i'll find out in a couple of weeks when i go down to see him.

more later. maybe.

this blog thing is starting to grow on me... talk about user friendly!

apparently i fell on my knee last night. i've got a gigantic bruise that i just discovered. i'm listening to npr right now. very soothing. i'm outta here. tonight, kathleen's having an all-girl pumpkin carving party. i'm excited!
