New Album in Works!
Throughout the month of December the d5 have spent a considerable amount of time in the studio working on their next installment of "audio artistry and sonic sculptures". In fact, it appears that things are moving quite rapidly. Three songs have already been recorded with the working titles of "Show Me Heaven" (which has been played live), "Compass" and "Bicycle Gasoline". The recordings of the three songs have now been placed in the capable hands of Charles Zwicky (whose credits include GLO and work with Prince and Semi Sonic).
Currently, the rumor is that a single should be out for the new cd in spring 2001 with the album's release later in the year. Most people are willing to say that this cd will be more similar to Mezzamorphis and KOF and dissimilar to Cutting Edge and GLO. Who knows though, we'll just have to wait until spring. Don't worry, we'll keep you posted. (Added Dec. 25th)
Video Mania
You may have heard that a new delirious? video has been released across the pond. Currently it is unavailable in the US, but we at d:heaven are currently questioning Sparrow records as to if they have any intention of releasing the video in the US. (Wouldn't it be cool to have a delirious? d:VD???)
The video is nothing tremendously new, but it does contain all of the delirious? music videos that have been created to date including the newly shot and scarcely played "Everything" video. At any rate, as soon as we hear from Sparrow Records, we'll let you know their plans.
If you simply can't wait for Pro-mod:e to be released then we at d:heaven recommend that you stop by Phil's Groovy Delirious? Video Clips Page!. Yeah, the site's got a long title but it's also got a lot of cool video clips of delirious? and the impact they've had on UK's MTV and VH1's stations. Check it out!!
Also, in case you were thinking about importing the delirious? video through GoldUSA or another website, we don't want to burst your bubble, but it is currently pretty complicated. In the UK they don't use VHS, they use PAL which creates a serious import problem. We in America basically have to sit around and wait for Sparrow to do something. Unless you want to pay a converting service to convert it for you. (Added Dec. 25th)
UK Tour is Success
If you haven't yet surveyed the tour diary that is posted on the official website (d:vine) you may want to check it out. The diary has updates from just about all of the band members and technical crew members. The pictures are plentiful and the updates intriguing. In fact, delirious? did such a good job at the Sheperd's Bush Empire gig, that the gig's manager asked them to return for a Christmas concert on the 22nd of December. Both times, d: packed the place out.
In the next few months be ready to gear up for yet another US tour. Hopefully information will be released within the coming weeks. (Added Dec. 25th)
