Soldier, a shrine to Zack of Final Fantasy VII, has been completely overhauled and redone. And do note that Masamune, a very well-done Sephiroth shrine, has been recently redesigned and updated.
And now, *ahem* my somewhat latecoming comments on Final Fantasy IX. At first, I hated this game. The characters rubbed me the wrong way, and the plot seemed rather boring. After receiving the game for Christmas, I played up until Cleyra and then put the controller down - never to pick it up again, or so I thought. Recently, however, I started playing it again out of boredom. Surprisingly, I really like it now *^_^* The characters grew on me, especially Zidane and Amarant. Eiko, though.. gar. She grates on my nerves.
BTW Sara, can't wait for that Steve shrine!

Whoo-hoo! I thought I was the only one who liked him, too, Shannon. ^__^;; He just doesn't seem as mainstream as the other characters, even though he had a big role in CV. Maybe it's because he's a new character and all. Fruity, *LOL* That's just his voice actor...he tried way too hard to sound young, and he made him squeak sometimes. X_X; I know what you mean, though, my theory personally is most of the guys who play RE aren't too comfortable with a really attractive male character like Steve. ^^ I'm sure you've heard the famous, "He looks just like Leonardo DiCaprio!" statement. It's the same way girls get snippy over really pretty/busty heroines like Tifa.
spoiler! Highlight to read: He did get with Claire, though? He tells her he loves her before he dies, and he's probably coming back in a sequel..the complete version has some added dialouge with Wesker about Steve. This is all going in the shrine, though. XD
"haha, sara said 'kthx'" *ROFL* XD

I have to agree with you sara on how awesome that game is. It's by far my favorite resident evil. The characters, the graphics, the gameplay, the music, it all fits together, making one exellent game. The voice acting for RE never was great, and never will be that great, but RE:CV's voice acting definetly improved. A steve shrine? *jumps in excitement* I thought I was the only one who liked him. Everyones always like "Steve? He's really gay and fruity." Well, I don't care, he's cute, and I like him, and he should have got with Claire.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica 0wnz me
I don't play many games that leave me in a constant state of 'wow...' but RE: Code Veronica did. Not only are the graphics and gameplay large improvements of its predecessors (there are those that say its graphics rival Shenmue's, and in some scenes, I have to agree), but it has something completely new to Resident Evil...character with layered personalities. *dies of shock* A detailed plot, character development...I had to keep checking the case to make sure I was really playing a Resident Evil game. T_T;
That doesn't mean the game's been watered down, though, it's scary as hell. Seriously. Not only are the villians truly disturbing, the gameplay itself will keep you from playing at night. Hearing Claire's heart beating faster as the camera zooms into a dark room is pretty frightening, and there's plenty of zombies and ugly things to keep you turning away from the screen briefly in disgust. ^^
The way the cinematic sequences blend in with the actual gameplay is also a big plus, a couple times I ended up not noticing at all and either a) getting killed, or b) sitting there blinking for awhile.
Unfortunately, the crappy voice acting that RE is known for still stands in this sequel. But, it does get better as the game goes on (it almost seems as if the actors are *learning* as they record their lines..o_O), and some scenes are acted really well.
Yes, it's for Dreamcast, but the Complete version is also out for PSX2. The Complete version fleshes out the story a bit more, especially the ending. All in all, if you didn't like RE before, you'll most likely like it after playing this game.
I now worship it, kthx. Yes, there will be a Steve shrine soon. *cackles*...*cough**hack* -__-; That's my two-minute review, dum-dum-da-da-da-da! *tap dances off-stage*

Everyone get their arse on over to Soldier, a beyond swanky shrine to Zack from FFVII =) Not your typical mini-shrine.. it's nearly a shrine shrine! 8D Vespa really did an excellent job on this site.

yes, I am still here. ^_^;; I'm slowly getting my act together here...it's been what, 3 months since I've posted anything? Ack! Sorry sorry sorry. But I just wanted to point out a shrine to Rufus from FF7 that just came out the other day, by Alison. It's called Trigger Happy, and it's worth a look. I never knew there was so much info on the guy, but this is certainly the place to find it. Yes, well...*goes back to lurking*
