Psssst... look at that little block over there ---------->
Do you see that red notice? SoupQuest has become [sic]. One of the biggest reasons for the change is that I can actually get the archives to work. I hope you can appreciate the new site.
I'm sorry to abandon Blogger because I really appreciate the time and effort (and price) of the product... but I really couldn't spend any more energy on attempting to get the #%$^!_^% archives to work each time I made even minor changes to my template. I still don't know what I was doing wrong. Sometimes I could fix it quickly and sometimes I could "fix" it be redesigning the whole site again. The same thing never seemed to work twice. I guess I just didn't understand on the most basic level how the archives worked. My new tool just handles all of the archiving for me.
Thank you, Blogger, for everything. If you don't mind, I'm going to keep this page up for a little while... and allow it to slowly fade into the sunset.

You need your IBM keyboard to go clackey-clack the way you need a shot of caffeine each morning-- or the world just doesn't feel right.

Did I mention that I am a published artiste? I can't seem to remember -- and I'm too lazy to go back and look.

What is it about sleep that is so wonderful? I had an absolutely incredibly fabulous sleep today. Sleeping felt so great that I did not want to get out of bed even though I'd already slept for 12 hours. Of course, I went to bed after I'd been awake for 25 straight hours. For the record, this is a typical Monday/Tuesday for me: Third shift really messes up my body. And it's really beginning to wear me down. I wouldn't mind this shift so much if my job were sleeping.
I'm trying to remember the good things about being home in the day time:
- I am able to shift my sleep schedule to be available for signing papers while in this period of buying a house. (Or whatever else is on my plate at any given time.)
- I can go to the grocery store when there are far fewer people around to annoy me.
- I get the whole bed to myself.
- The cat enjoys the quality time we spend together before I drift off to dreamland each morning.
- If I wake up from a nightmare, it's daylight so I can see that there are no monsters standing over the bed.
- I have a very legitimate reason for being cranky with telemarketers - they got me out of bed.
I think I'm really reaching for some of the items in the "PRO" column. I think the legitimate items in the "CON" column are stacking up much too high.
How much longer can I go on in this sleep deprived state? Well, I'm trying to act rough and tough -- we'll just have to see how good of an actress I really am.

PUBLIC NOTICE: SoupQuest's days are numbered. I am working on a redesign. With that redesign will come a new name and a new URL. It'll still be the same old me, but with more vim, more vigor, and more flair.
Okay, so maybe I'm making promises there that I won't be able to keep. But, please note that change is imminent. I've been working hard on testing. Unlike SoupQuest, a lot of thought and planning has been going into the "new stuff".
I apologize for neglecting my duties here, but I'm hoping that it will be for the best. Don't worry - I'll let you know when it's finished.

It's not much longer: Oscar nominations will be out today. If I were a voting member of the Academy, I'd have to vote for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Perhaps this little tip will be the answer to all my toilet troubles. (At least until I move out.) Here are a few more tips to help you keep your toilet in great shape. If the water doesn't seem to be flushing with enough power, try using a small mirror. The mirror won't give your toilet power but you can use it to check the series of holes that sit under the rim of the bowl. These tiny holes, are called flush passages, they shoot water into the bowl each time the toilet is flushed. However there are times when they become plugged up due to mineral deposits or grime. To give some flushing power back to the toilet, poke each hole clean with a length of wire clothes hanger. After cleaning all the passages, flush the toilet to remove loosened deposits. If necessary, repeat the process.

I just have a few questions:
If this is an ensemble, why are the pieces sold seperately? Couldn't (& shouldn't) they be sold as a kit? And more importantly, are there actually people in this world who are willing to pay $44.99 for a really small trashcan? I mean, really - it's not even scented Rubbermaid!

This window treatment is certainly cute - but I can't help but thinking that buying a pair of small cafe curtains and a valance would be cheaper. I mean, table runners can be rather pricey -- and they suggest using 3 of them!!
Of course, they are in the sales business. What a unique way to push sales or table runners.
