Wow. Yes. I never update. When I do though, look out. I had a weird dream last night about the end of life on Earth. Very weird armageddon fantasies inspired by the intense heat and humidity, and the terrible movie Final Fantasy. I thought it was a devoid of plot piece of crap, but it had some visually beautiful moments.
In life, it seems that there are always people who are friends of friends, or who just become acquaintances, but never get real close. There have been a few of those types of people that have come and gone, and I always regret not putting more effort into caring about them. My friend Jeremy is one of the ones that didn't get away. I always thought he was a real cool guy since 8th grade. It wasn't until college though, that I ever got to hang out and have real conversation with him. As he started living with my best friend Dave, Jeremy and I are honest to jeebus friends now. To make a medium story medium, last week his father passed away. Jeremy flew in from Seattle to spend time with his family. At the end of his visit in Detroit, I invited him to go to a Tigers' game with me and he accepted. No one in my nuclear family has yet to die or become seriously injured, and I am really not sure how hard it is so begin to realize that your own life is still going, and that you need to have fun and see things as beautiful again. Today he sent me an awesome email thanking me, and I am very happy that I made someone feel good, and that he is brave enough to persevere.
I am leaving Michigan soon. I am very worried, about being organized enough to properly move all of my shit, but certain things are impeding my sanity and progress.
