at school it seemed that essentially things had gone back to normal, not that this was a good or bad thing. the principal came over the intercom urging the first period teachers to lead the class into discussing about yesterday. yet this only resulted in my teacher asking for questions or comments, and then quickly moving on after no response. and not that i didn't want to talk about, its just that you dont really know what to say.

but the day went on with periodic mention of the incident, but for the most part, i took a reading test, learned about the scarlet letter, and ate french fries at lunch. things seem the same, yet there are truely and irreversibily different.

school ended, it was a beautiful day out though, and i think the beauty was enhanced only by my now even greater appreciation of it. i got some ice cream, saw my aunt, and then went to work.

now work was something of a shock. let me explain. see i work at a movie theatre. i walk in the doors today and see my co-worker up on a ladder taking down the large Spiderman banner. now this movie comes out in may of 2002, so i was more than confused. my manager loren then goes on to explain, that they had been flooded with various emails from the home office to take down certain movie posters and removed certain trailers from movies. it seems that these films were now "offensive" or some way insulting, now it light of what happened yesterday. in particular; Spiderman, due to the fact that it had the reflection of the twin towers in his eyes, and i was also told that the end is going to be reshot now since the end finale involves the webbed hero spinning a web between the twin towers; then also Big Trouble is delayed, even though i am still confused what exactly this movie has anything to do with anything, and lastly Collateral Damage, which i can see since the plot is about a plane-jacking. so we were running around removing all this stuff, just wondering why the sight of the Twin Towers would really be so offensive. I mean it still is a symbol of the country, even though it no longer stands. but then one must be politically correct these days. also later an email came through to take down a certain Seredipity standee, since in the background it features a blurry NYC skyline, yet we determined that it was almost impossible to even determine which buildings were in fact the towers, so we saved John Cusack for today.

but a good thing did happen at work, and then was that we all really talked about everything that happened. we sat up in box office and just talked. that really is the only, and best way to deal through what you are feeling, and it is a lot to handle. we discussed different reactions and theories and just everything. although peter was getting me very scared with his rants on Nostradamus, the end of the world and world war III. so i sat there spouting hopes of peace and brighter future, yet its harder to keep positive with a tragedy of this level.

but life will go on for all the survivors and the rest of us. something great still has been lost, a sense of security and innocence. its a harsh blow, and who is to know what tomorrow will bring. recovering from this is the greatest challenge, and personally i hope that everyone can do something, no matter how small to make a difference in any way. well i am gonna stop now, but its good to get things off my chest. much love to everyone, and you all are in my thoughts.
