Hi! I just realized I've been getting a lot of hits, for me, almost entirely from http://www.thefantasticks.com/webpages/replacements.html, if that's not where you just arrived from. It's been such a long time since I updated - lazy, busy, depressed, et cetera. I'm sorry. Here are a couple of Jerry tidbits I meant to add over the last couple of months, anyway.

On July 10, my husband and I attended a live interview sort of thing with Jerry that was done as part of the Smithsonian Resident Associate Program. One of our friends gave tickets to us as a wedding present! We were both surprised by how tall Jerry appears in person, and it's not like he seems small on the show. Jerry discussed all aspects of his career, stage and big and small screen. I was pleased to learn that at this point he plans to stick with L&O as long as it's on the air. Since we were both pretty shy I was glad someone else asked our question about his love of animals during the Q&A session. We didn't get any details on his own pets, but he mentioned that he loves dogs and cats both.

I also stumbled upon this story about Jerry's appeal to the New York State legislature to ban "canned shoots," an especially cruel hunting practice.

Sorry I'm such a lousy webmistress. Good luck on your search for worthwhile Jerry info.

In honor of our new cat, Lennie, please visit one of the sites on my animals page. If that in-between click is too much to ask, try Bide-A-Wee , Berkshire Humane Society, or The Animal Medical Center. All three have been beneficiaries of Jerry's Celebrity Jeopardy winnings, and the latter is also the hospital where my si ster's cats have been treated in middle-of-the-night emergencies.

I've just turned this page into a weblog in the hope of being a bit more efficient. Let me summarize the last few entries I'd made here...

Also, Jerry was scheduled to appear on The View on Monday, Nov ember 6. I unfortunately forgot and left for a manicure about six minutes before airtime, so nothing to relay to you who also missed it :(

November 3: I put in some links to Jerry stuff as part of the Amazon Associates thingie.

The immediate reason that my "Ways Jerry is Like Daddy" page hasn't been put back up is that I wasn't sure where I saved it on my new server. It was, believe it or not, a little c ontroversial, so I was also
unsure about inviting the same "did your father sexually abuse you?" e-mails. (Really - does fondness for someone who reminds you of your father imply that your father abused you? Besides, I've never viewed Jerry with romant ic interest.) Then again, lots of people got the point. I even linked to a neat article expressing similar father-figure sentiments about Jerry. Anyway, we'll see.

November 1: Revived KittenBeat: Jerry Orbach after a hiatus of almost one and a half years. I hope I'll do a half-decent job of actually updating it now and then starting soon, but no promises.
