911da story story
I was working in my home office, and my husband called me from work and asked if I had the TV on. Of course I didn't. He told me a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. I am originally from New Jersey, so New York City is very familiar to me. I turned the TV on, and didn't turn it off for days. My children drew pictures of the towers in flames for about 2 weeks. They were 4 and 6 at the time. Now I read more about world events in the newspaper that I used to skip over. I will always remember that day as I did remember the day JFK was shot.
