I saw the first tower crumble to the ground of the South bound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike. I will never forget the sea of cars the just stopped in the middle of the road as we all watched in horror. People just stood on the turnpike watching - it was eerie.
As my work insisted that I come in - I got to watch things from a different angle as my office faced the World Trade Center. The smoke was billowing and alarms were sounding and watching that hidous smoke rise that was when I knew our world had changed.
I hope that everyone effected finds the solace they need.
