9/11 Fund
To Whom it May Concern:
I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September
11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits as heterosexual
spouses. I am outraged that unborn fetuses and illegal aliens have more
rights to this financial support than my lesbian and gay sisters and
brothers. My partner and I donated a considerable amount of money to this
fund. Had we known that our community would be discriminated against, we
might have started our own fund specifically for gay and lesbian Americans.
I seriously urge you to reconsider.
Sincerely,
