2718.jpegThis is a pencil drawing depicting one of the jumpers. I believe he was an employee of Windows On the World, on the 107th floor of the North Tower. Merely shading the columns took about eight hours, despite the redundancy, but I considered it almost a gesture of respect, as if to say "Drawing this little person, this soon-to-be-extinguished life falling against the enormous, scaleless facades of the towers, was worth the many hours it took to create the image." It's a gesture of remembrance, and a reminder of the carnage that none of us should give ourselves the luxury of denying.
