Dear Friends,
It was with shock and a mounting horror that I witnessed the wanton destruction of lives and property
in Lower Manhattan last night, our time. (Aust EST)
I went to work this morning feeling absolutely numb. I work in the CBD (downtown) in Melbourne, Australia.
I have never seen this city so quiet on a weekday. The people were there, as usual, but seemed to move almost in silence.
The sense of shock, and unspoken sympathy, has permeated all corners of Melbourne.
Our prayers and thoughts are with America today.
