Mid Morning E mail Sept 11, 2001
Can't remember if I sent you the following:
I've just talked to people on the streets, that have just walked from lower Manhattan.
The're in shock, of course, the're crying, the're angry and they want revenge.. They talk of thousands of dead and injured. The hospitals are running out of blood.
War ships have entered the harbour.
It' a beautiful sunny day.
Were all stunned.

I've just come from the roof, where shocked people can't believe the new skyline.
My eyes are stinging and everyone here is hoping that the terrorists didn't have chemical or biological weapons
