"The Irony of It"
The irony of it:
that an act so dastardly in and of itself
should act so diabolically upon those who have
survived it;
that those of us who were so rocked
with grief and pain, who wept and profusely such real tears,
who once sang and prayed together,
who sought the justice of
the injustice,
who dug deeply into shallow pockets
to express charity,
are now become so polarized by the moment.
Ah, the irony of it.
