911da story story
I was on maternity leave and September 11, 2001 was the first morning that I did not turn on the television as soon as I woke up. I was playing with my daughter when my husband called at about 11:00 am. His voice was shaking and he asked me if I was watching television. I turned it on and there was the image. I remember feeling confused. The towers had fallen by the time I realized anything had happened. No one could answer the question on everyone's minds. Who would do such a thing? My question wasn't who or why, but what. What world did I bring my daughter into? That has been my question every day since the attacks on our nation. I know it has been on the minds of so many parents out there. I pray every day that people begin to understand what hurt hatred can bring.
