Flight

The hope and optimism in my heart wants to look at those shapes, silhouetted against the sharp blue sky, and see them as birds.

But I know that is not so.

Here is what I hope: That as you stepped from the hell of that burning building into the beautiful, clear morning air, your faith was with you.

And that you felt... not terrifying, cold descent, but the warm, gentle caress of your Creator's infinitely perfect hand.

And in your mind, and in your heart, and in your soul, you knew that you were not falling, but instead soaring...

bird-like ...

transcendent ...

free.

Forever with me

This image captures the most disturbing and long lasting memory that I will have of watching these terrible events unfold on live TV. The total hopelessness that these people must have felt is overwhelming. This image is what made me glad for censuring in the endless pursuant media coverage.

The Ultimate Choice

I pray your decision was an expression of freedom and that your ride there was most exhilirating. A leap of faith into God's arms.

Jehovah remembers you

I can only imagine the terror as if it was yesterday and so does Jehovah our God. He will remember you in the last days when resurrection nears. God bless you. We will miss you all. My prayers are with all of you out there in New York.

Forever with me II

We can never imagine how you felt. We can never imagine what went trough your minds. My thoughts and prayers are with you, with families and with all the people who suffered from this unbelievable event. I hope you find freedom, peace and love. From Holland, love.

Desperate and Brave

I cannot imagine how desperate and brave you were to feel that this was only the way out. I pray for your families and that they will somehow know that you did it for them. Faced with two choices, both with the same fate- i could never do that. On this day, we will remember you sacrifice.

I look at this picture nearly 2 years on and feel sick at the pit of my stomach. How bad must it have been up there that this was their only option. I live in Scotland and the pain and sorrow was felt here too. Not much comfort only the fact that people so far away had the people of New York in their thoughts and prayers.

How Brave You Were

I can't imagine what thoughts were with you at the time you felt you had to do this. For this to have been the decision you made only makes the wondering of how it was where you were all the more difficult. We can never imagine. I pray for your souls.

This image serves to make me realise more than I do already how we must all treasure each moment and how we must all strive to make the world a better place for everyone.

To my beloved David - let's grab life with both hands - it's our duty.

To have your breath snatched from you in the clutch of shock is a terrible nightmare to imagine. I hope that in some way these courageous persons were able to cling to the dignity of the independance we treasure as a hallmark of our freedom in declaring their right to choose the moment when they will vacate this beautiful God-given right we have of life. Tyranny and murder are crimes demolishing the spirit.
I hope that freedom(the independant right to choose one's own decisions) is the pitch that sailed these ones home-the right to take destiny into their own hands, rather than to have it snatched away as helpless victims-terrorized to the end!
You will not be forgotten though the end was untimely-elective or not!

Those Innocent People

I can't believe this happened. Those poor people!I can't and don't ever want to imagine the fear they had inside of them. I feel so bad for them and their families. God Bless them. God Bless America!

ashes, tears and blood

Ashes, tears and blood were shed. Those poor victems killed in an instant shocking minute. Imagine the panic. the people who knew it was over just standing there thinking " Why today, why me , why at all..." My heart goes out to all the broken hearts, and all the bleeding souls in the world. I live in France but I was born in America, let America know they are loved and felt for deeply. Love Greta

WE WILL NEVER FORGET

I can't believe such an horrible thing could ever happen.I have no words to describe what I still feel for those poor innocents : a sense of anger, deep anger, grief, pity ,love.that day i've cried and cried and when i think about all, I still cry, because whenever a man dies, a part of me dies, too.I'm an italian lady from Rome:my city and my country will never forget those poor innocent victims and all that horror!I will always pray for them. Love Enza

What I felt

It was a shame to look upon the lives already taken as they jumped from the towers.
We were not prepared when hi-jackers took over the planes and made the pilots fly into the towers, The Pentagon, and Pennsylvania

how sad

how sad it is to know that up there, inside the towers, it was so miserable that they needed to jump. they must have been so scared. They didnt know what was happening to them or why. although now we all do know what happened... the question of why is still a mystery. why would anyone put another human being under so much toture... that is what i want to know. some people may think that this whole tradjety brought our country together.. but to the ones who's loved ones were forced to jump from that burning building... they probably have a different perspective on 9-11-02

2002-09-29 15:10:47
