It wasn't until weeks later that I realized that the reason this man is crouched down and staring pensively is because he is observing one of the seat cushions from AA Flight 11, that was catapulted over the Banker's Trust building, and down onto Liberty Street. Seconds later, I was at the base of WTC 2 witnessing the absolute horror of people falling from WTC 1.
I am still ripe with anger over these attacks. There was simply no reason for it. None.
