Shoes
When I looked at this website, I found three pictures that really had an affect on me, this was one of them. With each shoe, there is a person, a woman, there is a story. Some may have lived, some did not. I think of the women who got up that day, getting ready for a day at work, errands, whatever. How they picked their outfits to wear and shoes to go with their attire. I see only a few whole pairs. I wonder where the other one is at. I think of a woman asking her husband, "Honey, which shoe looks better, the right one or the left one?" Never knowing what layed ahead. I think of chaos, running so fast, looking for a safe haven. I think of all the children who won't have their mother read them a bedtime story. I think I will always remember this picture, I think this picture is worth a thousand untold words.
